About Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University Chhattisgarh

Pandit Sundarlal Sharma (Open) University Chhattisgarh, Bilaspur was established by the Chhattisgarh legislature in 2005. Named after the legendary freedom fighter, the university serves as a beacon of social justice and accessible education in the region.

Formally inaugurated by Shri Lal Krishna Advani ji, the institution has grown under the leadership of distinguished academicians, currently helmed by Dr. Bansh Gopal Singh in his second term as Vice Chancellor.

"The university campus is spread over 70 acres of lush green land, featuring modern administrative buildings, three helipads, and serene eco-friendly ponds."

As the only institution in Chhattisgarh providing education through the Open and Distance Education system, it bridges the gap for remote and tribal communities, offering everything from standard degrees to specialized diploma courses.
